Mall and store participation

SPKTRM is organised around malls. A player plays inside one mall at a time, and stores take part through the mall they trade in.

Malls

A participating mall is where rounds are played. Its layout becomes the game's map, and its stores' offers are what players can exchange SPX for.

SPKTRM sets up and runs each mall on its own operations console: the mall's profile and opening hours, its game settings and leaderboards, and the indoor positioning plan. Mall operators do not have a self-service console today.

Points are earned and spent in the same mall: a voucher from one mall cannot be used in another.

Stores

A participating store:

  • publishes offers that players can exchange SPX for;
  • checks and redeems vouchers at its own tills, in the branches it chooses;
  • manages its staff, scanners and reports in the store portal.

Each store sets its own offers, prices them in SPX within the portal's rules, and decides its own redemption disputes. See the Store User Guide.
