Getting started

This guide takes you from opening the preview to standing in the mall, ready to play.

You need: a preview invitation from the SPKTRM team, with the Founders Access code and the team access code they gave you. You must be 16 or older.

Open the preview​

  1. Go to app.spktrm.net/play.
  2. On SPKTRM Founders Access, enter the access code you were given in Access code, then press Enter private preview.
  3. On the start screen, press ENTER THE SPECTRUM.

Set up your player​

  1. On Set up your player, type your 8-digit Kuwaiti mobile number after +965, then press SEND CODE.
  2. Enter the 4-digit SPKTRM team access code, then press VERIFY. No text message is sent in the preview. If the code is wrong, the app says That code does not open the demo. and clears the field so you can type it again.
  3. Choose a Username (up to 16 characters).
  4. Under Pick your avatar, choose an avatar.
  5. Under Language, choose English or العربية. You can change this later in Profile.
  6. Tick I confirm I am 16 or older.
  7. Press START PLAYING. The button stays unavailable until you have entered a username and ticked the age confirmation.

Result: you arrive at OUTSIDE THE GRID, the list of participating malls.

Enter the mall​

The app explains: You must be inside the mall to join the round. Player identities, locations and confrontations are only visible inside the mall.

  1. Find The Avenues in Participating malls.
  2. Press SIMULATE ENTERING MALL.

Result: the game opens on the mall floor, and How to play starts.

Malls in the preview

Only The Avenues can be entered in the preview. The other malls and their live now counts are demonstration data, not real players.

The first lesson​

How to play walks you through one complete confrontation with a guide player: moving, finding the player, reading their card, sending a request, choosing an action and seeing the result. Use Next to continue, or Skip to close it.

You can open it again at any time from Help. See Interface and navigation.

Common problems​
